I live and work in Toronto Canada, which was just pegged as the most multi-cultural city in the world. Anyway, I hope the portraits on my various sites mirror the diversity of faces in our city.

ah now. you might be able to help... Ng is, i believe, more common than anyone might think. both mrs. and i worked with separate Ngs. She says she called her Ng, En-Gee but I was told to call mine, -ng as in ''ing'' but without the ''ee'' sound (you kind of left that behind on your tongue).
still, a rose is still a rose by any other name.
and a chair is still a chair
(even when there's no one sitting there)
I was introduced to this sweet couple as "ng" the second pronounciation. I have some traditional shots of them too, but for some reason this one is my favourite, probably because it isn't traditional.
i find all the portraits fascinating, anne - i feel i want to try some now but...i never ever get a positive reaction! is it a brit thing, i wonder? (we believe a photograph takes away our souls, you know - arghhh).
but really, i think it's just me... :D
