I love collecting ephemera.
Def: e-phem-er-a noun (plural e-phem-er-ae or e-phem-er-as)
1. something short-lived: something that is transitory and without lasting significance. Can be used to describe paper, letters, maps, photos, old advertisements, etc Anyway, I even started a new blog dedicated to ephemera. Like I don't have enough to do, I know. It's here on blogspot too. CLick this link http://williamthedogsblog.blogspot.com/
SInce I'm stuck inside, burning a zillion photo CDs today I'll post some of last week's shots. Here's Ricardo, standing on the glass floor 113 stories up the CN tower. The glass is 2 inches thick. I repeat... 2 measly inches thick. They say it can hold 14 hippos. You couldn't drag me onto it. Maybe if it were two FEET thick. I feel sick just looking at this shot.

Ok, no one is going to get this unless I tell you about this crazy little video. Better still go watch it. It's a tiny snip of an ancient Sega Genesis game that somehow became a craze. Bad translation and horrible script writing helped I think.
Here's the link. Click "video 1 on the left column to see a tiny video of the game.

Snow apples. The only shot I got today, somewhere near Belfountain. It was raining so hard, but I so much wanted a shot that I sat in the car with the window rolled down and used the telephoto lens. Duh. Not optimal. But we get desperate, you see, and sometimes anything is better than nothing. It isn't really, but what the heck. (Note to self, no blogging before coffee!)

The good part about having kids is that they direct you to amazing stuff on the net. You need to see these animations. The whole series of Salad Fingers is worth the time to sit and watch. Turn on your sound and be prepared to be spooked out.
"all the thrills of an epic novel...in one paragraph."
brain level: genius
"genius by nature, international player by birth. superflywebpimp has held the deep cover operative position of a low paid graphic artist for the past several years, shunning the hot glare of the media spotlight in favor of an undercover glimpse into the life of a common man. many a brow has beaten upon his thought provoking words, with worlds created, and worlds destroyed by a mere wave of his pen. "a mind once expanded never fully regains its former shape." so light the fire and snuggle up with a bottle of courvoisier....you're about to get worked by the superflywebpimp. "

I've just talked my friend Mick into getting a blog. For those who actually keep track of these things, she's the original Quasimodem. Before her, there were no others! She's a terrific writer so keep checking her blog at www.quasimodem.blogspot.com Get in from the beginning so you can say you "knew her when"..
