James McNeil, or as I like to call him, the Nabob of Negativity. ;-) Posted by Picasa

I love collecting ephemera.
Def: e-phem-er-a noun (plural e-phem-er-ae or e-phem-er-as)

1. something short-lived: something that is transitory and without lasting significance. Can be used to describe paper, letters, maps, photos, old advertisements, etc  Anyway, I even started a new blog dedicated to ephemera. Like I don't have enough to do, I know. It's here on blogspot too. CLick this link http://williamthedogsblog.blogspot.com/Posted by Picasa

SInce I'm stuck inside, burning a zillion photo CDs today I'll post some of last week's shots. Here's Ricardo, standing on the glass floor 113 stories up the CN tower. The glass is 2 inches thick. I repeat... 2 measly inches thick. They say it can hold 14 hippos. You couldn't drag me onto it. Maybe if it were two FEET thick. I feel sick just looking at this shot. Posted by Picasa

"All your base are belong to us"

Ok, no one is going to get this unless I tell you about this crazy little video. Better still go watch it. It's a tiny snip of an ancient Sega Genesis game that somehow became a craze. Bad translation and horrible script writing helped I think.
Here's the link. Click "video 1 on the left column to see a tiny video of the game.Posted by Picasa

Snow apples. The only shot I got today, somewhere near Belfountain. It was raining so hard, but I so much wanted a shot that I sat in the car with the window rolled down and used the telephoto lens. Duh. Not optimal. But we get desperate, you see, and sometimes anything is better than nothing. It isn't really, but what the heck. (Note to self, no blogging before coffee!) Posted by Picasa

I woke up this morning to find that I've been superflywebpimped. I'm really flattered and I'm blown away by how well he nailed that cover. Not to mention the novel itself! Check it out here... Posted by Picasa

This is what I do on rainy cold nights, in the car on the way home from the country. Take crazed long exposures that look like DNA strands or something. Posted by Picasa

A glimpse into my son's world. Chip off the old block stuff, if you ask me. It's a reflection he shot in the fireplace glass at the Second Cup where he stops in for hot chocolate on the way to school. Posted by Picasa

The good part about having kids is that they direct you to amazing stuff on the net. You need to see these animations. The whole series of Salad Fingers is worth the time to sit and watch. Turn on your sound and be prepared to be spooked out.  Posted by Picasa

For people who've never seen my blog before, I'm actually a photographer, I swear. And I shoot real live people in my studio. Like today's shoot. Mischa. Posted by Picasa

Deleting old files, burning backup CDs this morning... found this old shot that Ricardo did last summer at Ashbridge's Bay. I like the colour and energy. On closer inspection, the body's pretty hot too! Posted by Picasa

"all the thrills of an epic novel...in one paragraph."

author: superflywebpimp
location: congo
brain level: genius

"genius by nature, international player by birth. superflywebpimp has held the deep cover operative position of a low paid graphic artist for the past several years, shunning the hot glare of the media spotlight in favor of an undercover glimpse into the life of a common man. many a brow has beaten upon his thought provoking words, with worlds created, and worlds destroyed by a mere wave of his pen. "a mind once expanded never fully regains its former shape." so light the fire and snuggle up with a bottle of courvoisier....you're about to get worked by the superflywebpimp. " Posted by Picasa

When I'm setting up the lights Ricardo/Richard always gets his mug in the frame. Most of them get tossed out (mostly because he's looking gormless) but every once in a while I save one because it's a good likeness of him. This is one. Posted by Picasa

I've just talked my friend Mick into getting a blog. For those who actually keep track of these things, she's the original Quasimodem. Before her, there were no others! She's a terrific writer so keep checking her blog at www.quasimodem.blogspot.com Get in from the beginning so you can say you "knew her when".. Posted by Picasa

Ok, men are always complaining about waiting for women shopping. The pinnacle of painful waiting has to be watching a man in Canadian Tire trying to find the right screw bolt. And then being distracted by those whomping big drills. And those tire thingies. And look, a solar power panel!  Posted by Picasa

I'm not a big seagull fan, but this one has something, I think. We were feeding the ducks down at the lakeshore when marauding gulls uh... marauded. Posted by Picasa
